Moving day

This morning after breakfast, my boyfriend ? walked me down the beach to where I got to swim with the sea turtles. Boy, was that cool! It was a beautiful little grotto, fed by underground seawater. They take young turtles and those that are hurt. Then they take them back out to the open sea. I got to get in the water with the turtles and then the guy threw seaweed in the water for them to eat. They swam all around me and were bumping into me. It was so cool!! And I was all by myself, just me and the turtles. After I got out, another couple got in.
So Mbarak had taken the whole morning off so we went to a nearby fancy hotel and got a drink and sat looking out at the sea. We talked a long time. Then we walked back to our hotel. Don and Debi had checked out and were sitting in the restaurant relaxing. Mbarak talked about coming to see me when we move down the beach to Kendwa.
Our driver from Stone Town came to take us to our new hotel where we will stay for three nights. He drove us on the terrible roads to our hotel, natura,l Kenwa Villa. It is a step up in luxury from the other place. They brought us a drink and a cold wash cloth at reception. This place has a swimming pool and our room overlooks it. Very pretty. The room is lovely, with flowers on the beds and a really nice bathroom. Our veranda has nice furniture. We had lunch in the adjacent restaurant. The prices are higher here.
After settling in, Debi and I went down to the pool and hung out for a while. We had the pool all to ourselves! Heavenly! Then we went to the beach at Kendwa Rocks. It has built up a lot since Kari and I stayed here in 2001. It very upscale and the beach is really beautiful. We had a wonderful dinner and then went back to our room and Don projected a movie on the wall called Monte Carlo. It was really good. Another fun day! Mbarak is coming tomorrow afternoon!
